Does anyone have any experience hunting this area?  Does it get hit very hard?

Roger: I don't know about Folly Beach but I think it applies to all beaches. You have to know when others are hitting the beach, most are out there before the sun comes up. If it's a beach that is not used much, you will not find much. You have to go where the crowd is.
