Hello,
I live in Kannapolis & would like to start detecting & possibly join the club.  I am currently looking for a White’s DFX or XLT & hope to have one by the end of the week or sometime next week.  The only problem is that I am a 31-year old mechanical engineering student that has class on Tuesday nights between 6-9:30pm. I may not be able to make a meeting b/c of class, but I would like to join in on a hunt really soon.  Can anyone help me out on any level?  Thanks in Advance, looking forward to meeting some folks!

I run a Minelab X-Terra 70. Now the 705. It is a very nice unit for sure, Beale.

Just picked me up a White's XLT for a pretty decent price, but I am still looking for DFX.  I was looking at a Minelab 305, but went with the White's.  Look what popped out 3.5 inches down on my first target. Didn't have enough time to do anything else today unfortunate....

Well Rudie, welcome to the site.  I use a DFX and a Minelab Explorer, both great machines, each has it's specified use.  I'm just down the road in Concord.

I will be holding a White's workshop again soon, teaching others how to use their Whites machines (for the most part the DFX and XLT)  If you want to get together for a little side hunt, I have a place in Kannapolis I have hit pretty hard but may still produce a silver coin or wheatie if you want to detect together and learn a little about your machine.  Just PM me your contact info.

Outstanding!  I live in a mill house in Cannon Village.

I'm up for a White's workshop to Refine what little technique I have.
I Would really like to get together for a side hunt as well.  Just have to get some work and school out of the way first before I can play, hopefully this weekend or Friday sometime.
Or both times.... Just have to see how much I get done.

It really stinks that I just got a new tool and I can't even put some time on it for a few days.  I am actually about to go out & see what I can produce between the backlight & utility light in the back yard.

Rudie: You can't go wrong with Joe, he does a great job with the class. I have a DFX also. I think someone in the club has a DFX for sale, I'll ask him.

That's great! I am receptive to any help or advice anyone can offer.  I actually got to hunt the yard for about two hours today.  Found some trash & a cache of old nails I actully stopped pulling then out when I got to about 2-3 pounds, it was dark & I was getting ate-up by mosquitoes.

First find of the day & a what's it....
The I found out the Airman Deluxe is a car made around the late 1920s-early 1930s.  This would match the home period since it is a 1925 construct.
