It is a good luck pin, pre-Nazi Germany.

Before Hitler caused it to be taboo, the swastika was a good luck symbol just like the 4-leaf clover.  You see it on all kinds of things dating from the early 1930's and older.  I've even seen it used on old advertising posters.

I have a silver bracelet that is lined with swastikas.  If I remember, I'll bring it to the meeting.

Thanks Greg: I've already sold it. The man that bought it said that it was a BDM badge from Hitlers early days, where german girls at these youth schools Hitler had going and this was one of those type pins. He said it was very scarce.

Thanks again.

I hope you got a good price for it, but it is definitely not a girl's BDM (Bund Deutscher Mädel) badge.

Among other things, I'm also a German WWII history buff and collector.  Nazi pins and merit badges never had good luck symbols, like the 4-leaf clover, on them.  Even those for the Hitler Youth or the BDM.

I should also point out that it likely isn't even German.  The swastika was used extensively in the U.S. as a good luck symbol, and were frequently combined with other symbols, like the 4-leaf clover, horseshoes, and wishbones.

Here are a few examples:

Those are great, you find them? Yep; I got 250 for it.  I didn't argue. Thanks for the info. I'll have to pick your brain again.
