Got invited today to hit a location in SC where Sherman had to camp for 3 days while the rest of his troops played catch up. Minnie Ball, 3 wheaties from the 50s in the middle of nowhere. Flat button, brass peg and a cool horeshoe nail. Had a great time but I'm beat now...CJ

Cool finds CJ! Which machine were you using? That's a nice looking 3 ringer. I hope to find one of those one of these days.

Good Huntin!

Thanks Curt, I was using my Whites XLT in coins and jewelry with the pre amp gain on 6. the 3 ringer was only about 4 inches deep. The field was plowed and disced.

So that's why you didn't call me back Saturday evening.  Uh huh.

That brass peg is probably a leather flap holder.

Very cool. I miss wandering through the woods with you folks.
Headed to the beach this weekend to dust off the coil.
