Had a good hunt and even better fellowship today in Charlotte. I pulled a few memorial pennies along with some other clad and a nice silver Army Medal of some sort. Check it out. Anyone know what it represents?

If I remember correctly that is a marksmanship medal and you got it when you qualified with the rifle.

I actually had one of these, and later it had additions! This is a marksman badge. If you qualify at the rifle range you get this badge and a ribbon to wear on your uniform. If you later qualified as sharpshooter, a little addition was added to your badge, and you got another ribbon. I never got beyond sharpshooter, so I don't know if there were other appendages!
Excellent finds, Curt!

That's an expert marksmanship badge.  The marksman badge and sharpshooter badge is a larger cross without the wreath.
