Blue Max 1500 15" for XLT?

Has anyone used the 15" Blue Max for the XLT?  If so, what kind of results did you get?  How would you grade it?

I already have the 5.3 which is great, and the stock 9.5.  I am trying to decide if I should get one just to have more "rounded" capabilities/maximize detector.  Just don't know if they make that much of a difference or are worth the $...  Any thoughts?

Thanks!   Very Happy

I bet Frank B would know. He has a huge 18" life saver he uses with his XLT.
I have the 5.3 and love it for jewelry and change in Tot Lots.

I would look and try to find a Jimmy Sierra 12" Hot Shot coil.  When I had my XLT, that was the best thing out for it if you were looking for depth without losing sensitivity to smaller targets.  And because no new coils have been introduced since I had my XLT, I would opt and say that the Hot Shot is still the best option.

Remember, Hot SHOT... Not Hot FOOT.

Thanks for the advice, guys...  I didn't even know they had an 18' coil!!
I'll remember the Hot Shot.  Sounds like a winner.  12" sounds right to me.  I was just worried that I would be losing too much sensitivity with a 15".  Doesn't sound to bad for relic hunting in the mixed mode however.

Heading to Jimmy's site to look...

Thanks again for your help.
Frank

YES I have a 15 inch blue max It is very light for it's size.  It is good for a large area that does not have alot of junk in it.  The last time I used it I was working a promising field and in the middle of it I dug a Broad axe at 24 inches.  It is a little hard to pin point small targets.  If its a good signal mark it and go back. You do get a lot of coverage with it.  Frank
