Cellar Hole Article in Western EasternWell folks if you want to read a good article check out this month's issue of Western Eastern Treasures. I think on page 26 Tim from the Empire State Club posted a great article on how cellar holes are never hunted out. Frank and I had the opportunity to hunt with him and his friend Bob on our NY outing this past September. They took us deep into the woods and we stopped along a rutted dirt road and went into the woods. This was my first cellar hole; now just pile of hand hewn stones. I ground balanced my machine and within 4 swings got a CW -Union Officer's coat button. I also found a real nice decorative flat button. Frank and I had a tremendous day, Thanks Tim.
Tim has a big collection, which he shared with us and some of it is pictured in the article.
You did a good job Tim, and we'll see you next year....

Hunt and articleCharlie
Thanks for the kind words. I have been lax in getting back on your club site.
Found an awesome Nova Constellatio, 1785 with Script letters in October, GREAT condition, and three batwings in one day!!!
Tell Frank I still do not have one of those broadhead axes like he found when we went out.
Going to find a spot that hasn't been detected much for the Sept hunt.
I'll be ready this time.
