First Gold!I tried to hook up with someone Saturday to go detecting but had no luck so I went on my own to a spot I had been eyeing and had permission to search but put it off since their was only a few square yards of grass there to search. I guess no one bothered previously has I started getting hits. I first pulled up three wheaties including a 1955 (No Double Die) and a nice and shiny 1943-P Silver War Nickel. (first one). I was finishing up when a got a good ring signal on my MDX. I have dug up so many pull tabs with this signal but decided I needed to dig this one because it was a strong one. Out popped a 10K men's ring with a nice stone and two small diamonds. The two hours today was my entire total for the last 30 days and the tally was:
1946 Wheatie
1955 Wheatie
1951-D Wheatie
1943 P Silver War Nickel
Three Nickles
6 Memorials
10K Men's Ring

Great finds Jim. I like the simple, classic design of the ring. And a nice variety of coins too!

Very nice looking ring, Jim. What kind of stone is in the middle?

I am told it is a Cat's Eye. It is a translucent metalic black and gold looking stone. Thanks Guys. I appreciate the responses. I can't believe it since it was only my 6th or 7th time out. I am going to Hilton Head this weekend and was hoping to do some hunting but broke my toe last night. Ouch! No MD'n for a few weeks.
