I need some help, Tim or GreggI found this pocket knife a couple of weeks ago at a very old church in Iredell county. It was down about 5 inches. Any idea on the make and model, and perhaps the age? It's about 3 1/2" long and 1" high. I'm pretty sure it has 2 blades. Let's try this again...

I would like to help but the picture didn't come up .But what you described the other day it sounds like an Easy open Jack pattern.

It is an easy open Jack, most likely a Boker. I have one from 1900-1924 that I will bring to the meeting. Many makers have used that shield but Bokers are more prevalent in this area.

Tim hit it on the head with the easy open jack knife id, but it's really hard to tell what manufacturer with that non-descript shield. You would really need to free the blade to look for the maker on the tang, but that likely isn't going to happen with that specimen.
Here's a picture of a very similar looking Robeson easy open jack knife from the early 1920's. Robeson was one of the best manufacturers of pocket knives during that period.

Tim and Gregg....thank you both for the very interesting info. It sure looks a lot like that Robeson knife that you posted Gregg. I am anxious to see yours at the meeting, Tim...
