Just bring along a kid...My son pulled a gold herringbone chain out of the ground last evening near the same spot he found the Thomas Jefferson token.
These new detectors are paying off, especially his Fisher F2.

There's actually a fair amount of gold in a necklace. You'll have those detectors paid off in no time at all. What other hobby pays for itself?
