First Gold Coin!!!
Found this gold coated 2000P rosy dime on the side walk about two weeks ago. Don't know the purpose of it.
A guess would be.....
1) A company sent them out to people as some type of promotional gimick...
2) A company sent them out in the year 2000 as part of the millinnium celebration.
Oh well...I'm gooint to keep it as a good luck charm and maybe soon I will find a real gold coin.

I believe both of your guesses are correct, Roy. My late grandmother had 2 of those that I believe she got from Fingerhut. When I was little, I always liked seeing those "Gold" dimes.

If I'm not mistaking, I think there was a 'gold' coin for each denomination that the company put out as a set.
