Awesome Recoveries!
Any backmarks?

Ian,
The eagle button has a star pattern around the back rim but neither button has a backmark. I have identifided both buttons as War of 1812 using Albert's "Record of American Uniform and Historical Buttons"in which they are listed.
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks Steve,
I was wondering about the button on the right. I found a cuff button like that was VERY worn and it didn't have a backmark either.

Ian,
could you send me a pic of your button? i would like to see it. maybe i could identify it in the reference. Thanks again for all of your ongoing work on the web site. It really is a tremendous asset for the club.

Hey Steve,
Here's mine. As you can tell, it's very worn but you can make out the cannon wheel and part of the eagle...
