LittleJohn, I don't know if you realize it or not, but you've got half of a slave tag there on top of that mound of buttons!

Funny man Gregster. It sure is better than the half a slave tag I found. Laughing  VERY nice button collection Little John and nicely restored or rather cleaned up.

Gregster
That tag cause me more troble and  heart problems everytime I think about it. I was digging in Camden SC when I found it. I had dug a few round musket balls Smile  in a cat claw bier thicket.  Sad I figure there was something more in that thicket. Down on my hands and knees crawing under the cat claws I got a signal on my Nauty dmc2ba that bout blowed my ears off. Mad  It was right on top of the ground just under the leaves in the dirt I pick the target up , got the dirt off of it and when I read  it my hands started shaking. Shocked  I cant remember weather I had the heart attack before or after I stood up and hollered for my wife. had to show it to somewbody  Very Happy Those cat claw ripe the hide off of me.
I came back latter with a bush hook cut the cat claws away never did find the other piece of the tag. Latter on I dug a 10 foot square around the tag site taking off about 4 inches of dirt. Did not get one signal. Everytime Im down that way I still check it  Laughing

Very nice buttons! I also like the slave tag. I am sorry you did not find the other 1/2, Beale.
