Well we got a little eagle and I plan to try it out on Fri. with a friend.  Anything has to be better than the spade I am currently using.  I am learning alot as I go!  We found  some pocket change at a little park this weekend and it was much more rewarding than digging up plowshares in the vacant land near our home.  I now know what rusted large ferrous items look like to my MD and will be much more judicious about digging them up!

Laurie:
Just be really cognizant of the fact that caches have the same look as lumps of ferrous material on the MD! The one I found last year could just as easily have been a horseshoe, but it was silver dollars and a couple of gold coins... you never know!
